Oyo local government election and set Oyo state ablaze – APA warns APC
The Oyo State Chapter
of the African Peoples Alliance Party (APA) has said that Oyo state citizens
will resist any form of rigging to win the forthcoming local government
election in the state.
The Chairman of the
Party, Mr. Tolulope Adedoyin who spoke on behalf of the party on Monday while
addressing the pressmen in Ibadan, Oyo state capital said there have been
allegations that the ruling party (APC) is planning to rig the May 12 local
government election.
Also, the Chairman, Oyo
2018 Local Government Planning Committee of APA said that good citizens of Oyo
state have lost confidence and patience in the governance of Governor Abiola
Ajimobi and the result of such will be known in the forthcoming May 12 local
government election in the state.
“Our major concern is
for OYSIEC to conduct a free, fair and credible election because if the May 12
election is being rigged it will set Oyo State ablaze, Raji Babatunde alarmed.
Raji Babatunde further
warned that his party APA and Oyo state citizens would not accept anything
short of free, fair and credible local government election.
