My success at the poll will show
people that Baba Adedibu still lives even after his death – Saka Gafar
One of the candidates
contesting the forthcoming May 12 local government election in Oyo State under
the African Peoples Alliance Party (APA), Mr. Saka Gafar, has assured the state
excos of his party a total success at the coming poll.
Saka Gafar, one of the
political sons and staunch followers of the late Ibadan political sage, Late
Chief Lamidi Adedibu and who is also contesting for councillorship position under
Ibadan Southwest local government, Ward 5 made this statement at the official
declaration of his councillorship ambition at his office in Molete, Ibadan.
According to him
“people from my ward and Molete people in general are tired of APC government and
the leadership style of Governor Abiola Ajimobi. They want a positive change.
Not the negative one they are now offering the people.”
“Some loyalists of my
late political father, the Late Chief Lamidi Adedibu and members from other
opposition parties have been coming to my office to show their preparedness and
support towards my ambition.”
“I can say even in
death, Molete still belongs to my late political father, the Late Chief Lamidi
Adedibu and it is through this poll they will know.”
“We will put our party
agents in all the polling units and monitor the activities of OYSIEC.
Mr. Saka Gafar further
advised people of his ward to come out and vote for his party, the African
Peoples Alliance Party (APA).
